About This Trip

Harishchandragad is one of the most iconic and historic hill forts of Maharashtra, located near Malshej Ghat in the Ahmednagar region.

Dating back to the 6th century, the fort carries deep cultural, architectural, and mythological significance. The trek to Harishchandragad takes you through dense forests, rocky paths, waterfalls (in monsoon), and wide plateaus, offering a thrilling experience for both beginners and seasoned trekkers. At the top, the majestic Konkan Kada steals the show—a massive C-shaped cliff known for strong winds, cloud beds, and mesmerizing sunsets.

The fort also houses beautifully carved stone structures like the Harishchandreshwar Temple, the sacred Kedareshwar Cave with a Shivlinga surrounded by cold water, and ancient rock-cut caves that reflect early forms of Shaiva and Buddhist architecture. Travel towards Kasara by train

Catch CSMT – Kasara fast local

08:44 pm - CSMT

08:51 pm - Byculla 08:58 pm - Dadar 09:07 pm - Kurla 09:11 pm - Ghatkopar 09:26 pm - Thane 09:42 pm - Dombivli 09:52 pm - Kalyan 11:04 pm - Kasara 11:15 pm - Meet Trek Leader at Kasara Railway Station. Participants assemble and travel towards the base village by private local vehicle together with Trek Leaders

Trek Day

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

04:30 am - Reach at base village - Paachnai. 04:45 am - Introduction & safety briefing by Trek Leader 05:00 am - Start ascending. Trek through forest trails and rocky patches 07:30 am - Reach on top and explore. Visit Harishchandreshwar temple, Kedareshwar temple, Pushkarani, and Caves. 08:30 am - Start trek towards Kokankada. 09:00 am - Reach Kokankada and have breakfast. 11:00 am - Start descending. 12:30 pm - Reach at base village and have lunch. 01:30 pm - Start return journey towards Kasara station. 04:30 pm - Arrival at Kasara railway station and disperse.

50% advance payment is required to confirm your booking (non-refundable)
Remaining 50% must be paid on trek departure
Bookings will be confirmed only after receipt of the advance payment
In case of last-minute bookings (within 24 hours), full payment is required upfront
Refunds (if applicable) will be processed within 5–7 working days

Cancellation Policy

50% advance payment is non-refundable under any circumstances
If cancellation is made 48 hours or more before departure, any amount paid above the advance will be refunded
No refund will be provided for cancellations made within 48 hours of departure
No refund for no-shows or late arrivals
In case the trek is cancelled by the organizer due to unavoidable circumstances (weather, safety concerns, etc.), participants can opt for a full refund or reschedule to the next available date
Any refund (if applicable) will be processed within 1–2 working days

Terms & Conditions

Participants must follow all instructions given by the trek leader/guide during the trek
The organizer reserves the right to modify the itinerary in case of unforeseen circumstances such as weather conditions, safety concerns, or government restrictions
Consumption of alcohol, drugs, or any prohibited substances during the trek is strictly not allowed
Littering is strictly prohibited; participants are expected to carry their waste back
Participants must be physically fit and in good health; any medical conditions should be informed in advance
The organizer is not responsible for any loss, damage, or theft of personal belongings
Delays due to traffic, weather, or other unavoidable reasons will not be the responsibility of the organizer
Participants must reach the meeting point on time; the group will not wait for latecomers
Basic first aid will be provided, but participants should carry personal medication if required
By joining the trek, participants agree to abide by all rules and regulations set by the organizer
